Ethan Shen

Project Manager, Evac China

I joined Evac in 2014 after working as a mechanical design technician in the marine industry. Evac gave me the opportunity to take on a wider project management position in the offshore business, taking care of specific customers. I then progressed to establishing our Chinese project team and enhancing our project engineering resource capability.

I now manage and develop project management processes and activities in Evac’s Chinese organization, and support local growth and expansion of the business. On a global level, my role is to manage Asian project organization and implement the Group’s strategy in our Asian team.

My biggest challenge is implementing agreed activities across different countries, where people may have different perspectives on project management. That said, it’s rewarding to work on advanced projects as part of an international team for customers from many different countries, and its helped me develop my communication and problem-solving skills.

Our global HR organization offers regular training sessions not only on Evac product portfolio development, but also in management skills, which gives me the opportunity to continuously learn and develop in my current role.
