Evac Optima® 7 vacuum toilet: The future of sanitation
The Evac Optima® 7 vacuum toilet, powered by Evac’s advanced vacuum technology, combines timeless beauty with sustainability. The new design is rimless with a sleek Nordic aesthetics that fits any architectural expression. It’s the sustainable choice for both marine and land-based customers.
Evac has been at the forefront of vacuum technology since 1979. We estimate that our vacuum solutions – led by Evac Optima® line of toilets – have saved more than 255 million cubic metres of freshwater over the past 25 years, and more than 1 million toilets have been delivered to our customers globally. Evac’s vacuum technology also enables flexibility in plumbing design for challenging construction projects. The new Evac Optima® 7 builds on this long legacy of vacuum innovation, reaching new heights in user experience, design, hygiene and sustainability.
“Vacuum toilets and collection systems are among Evac’s largest value drivers, and the new Evac Optima® 7 is a great step in improving our value proposition to both marine and land-based customers. It perfectly complements our comprehensive portfolio, which includes all the technology and systems necessary for complete water and waste management solutions,” explains Björn Ullbro, CEO of Evac Group.
“With 45 years of experience, we are a leading force in sustainable sanitation. Our team is dedicated to realizing our vision of a future with nothing to waste – whether it be freshwater, space, time, or business opportunities for our customers,” he says.
Evac Optima® 7 vacuum toilet: Functional Nordic design
Developed in collaboration with Finnish design agency Pentagon Design, the Evac Optima® 7 has a sleek and seamless form. A soft-closing cover and patent-protected hidden fixings enable easy installation and maintenance. The innovative flushing system ensures a noise level of 7 decibels – the lowest ever for Evac – matching or exceeding gravity toilets.
The toilet’s all-new rimless design and antimicrobial surfaces not only prevent bacterial growth, but also remove 99.99% of surface bacteria – ensuring next-level bathroom hygiene and comfort.
Like other Evac vacuum toilets, the Evac Optima® 7 delivers exceptional water-saving performance, using 90% less water than a traditional gravity toilet.
“The Nordic-design language of the Evac Optima® 7 is simply beautiful. I’m particularly happy to leverage my long experience on industrial design with our new launch. Our customers wanted a solution that looks like it belongs no matter where it’s installed. This is what we’re enabling with the Evac Optima® 7, along with all the sustainability benefits that vacuum technology brings,” says Lauri Aalto, Product Line Manager for Vacuum Systems at Evac Group.
Evac Optima® 7 vacuum toilet is ideal for land-based applications
Evac has long been the brand of choice for vacuum systems within the maritime industry. Now land-based customers are also increasingly recognising the benefits of Evac vacuum solutions.
Climate change and population growth in big cities are causing water-scarcity issues around the world. Many businesses are rethinking their drainage operations, with a turn towards vacuum solutions that use far less water than gravity systems.
With its vacuum-powered technology, the Evac Optima® 7 is versatile enough to fit anywhere, defying gravity in any setting, empowering limitless architectural freedom and maximizing the lifespan of built structures. This is particularly useful when renovating historic buildings, where certain restrictions may be in place. Vacuum systems are often quicker and less costly to install.
Despite the clear benefits, uptake of vacuum toilets for land-based operations has historically been hampered by preconceived notions.
“One of the pre-conceptions is that vacuum toilets are not attractive. The Evac Optima® 7 dispels this notion with confidence. Its sleek and elegant design will suit any installation, from high-end hotels and resorts to modern offices, malls, hospitals and more. It looks as good or better than any gravity system, while also being extremely easy to install and maintain,” says Jari Pudas, Product Line Manager for Land Systems.
