Governance and stakeholder engagement
Sustainability at Evac is led according to a clear governance model, and our work is strongly based on materiality. Cooperating and engaging with our stakeholders is a key element in our journey to become a beacon of sustainability in innovative waste and water technologies.
Evac’s sustainability program and targets are based on materiality. We completed our first materiality assessment in 2021. The assessment confirmed that Evac’s most relevant sustainability topics include advancing the circular economy and offering sustainable solutions for both marine and urban environments. At the same time, we must ensure that our products contribute to climate action and that our own operations are managed in a responsible manner.
As we continuously strive to improve the sustainability of our solutions, we consider it increasingly crucial to co-innovate and co-create sustainable solutions with our stakeholders. Evac’s most significant stakeholders include:
- Research institutes
- Industry associations
- Regulatory bodies
- Media and NGOs
To understand the needs of our customers, the requirements of potential and upcoming regulations, and rising global trends, we engage with our stakeholders regularly and in various ways.
We work together within innovation platforms, exchange views in regular meetings, and share our news and insights through various communication channels, such as evac.com, social media, and industry organizations. We also engage with our stakeholders in several research projects.
