Cathelco® MGPS Quantum Panel

With Quantum touch screen panels, comprehensive information about the performance of the anti-fouling system is available at your fingertips. It means that everything is easier to monitor and control, saving time and effort for ships’ engineers.

One of the main principles behind the design of the new anti-fouling panels is greater connectivity. The panels produce an RS485 signal which enables the system to be governed from a more convenient location such as a control room or alternatively the data could be fed to the ship’s bridge computers. What’s more, filling in log sheets becomes a thing of the past, because the data can be uploaded to a USB stick and then e-mailed us for detailed analysis.

Quantum Semi-Modular (Blade) 2Q/4Q/6Q control panels come in many different variations, ranging from 2 way to 16 way. Below shows an example of a 2Q/4 way configuration.

Cathelco Semi Modular Quantum Blade panels are dust and spray-proof to a rating of IP44 and can be located in machinery spaces. The IP rating must be preserved by using spray-tight strain relief glands for cable entry.  The contractor must make a robust structural frame to which the panel will be bolted.  The panel should be located at about eye level, with convenient and safe access for adjusting currents and servicing. The door on Semi-Modular Quantum Blade panels must be clear to swing out at least 90 degrees. It is highly recommended that Semi Modular Quantum Blade panels are mounted on horizontal brackets supplied and fitted by the client to give additional support.  RS485 connection allows the control panel to be connected to the vessel’s alarm management system where the system’s readings and alarms can be read and controlled.

Quantum Modular 2Q/4Q/6Q control panels come in many different variations, ranging from 1-way to 32-way. Below shows an example of a 2Q/4 way configuration. Cathelco Quantum Modular panels are dust and spray-proof to a rating of IP56 and can be located in machinery spaces. The IP rating must be preserved by using spray-tight strain relief glands for cable entry. The contractor must make a robust structural frame to which the panel will be bolted.  The panel should be located at about eye level, with convenient and safe access for adjusting currents and servicing. The door on Quantum Modular panels must be clear to swing out at least 90 degrees.

After fitting, check that the panel is set to the correct voltage. Quantum Modular panels have a switch inside the power supply module that can be toggled between 115 and 230 volts.
